If you are in the Richmond, KY area and crave a cup of Joe, there are several cafes, restaurants, and bistros with this on their menus. Within these places, you will find selections that make your tastebuds happy. Without further ado, here are some of our favorite local coffee shops in and around this area.
1. Purdy’s
This Java café is located at 212 W Main St. and is open Monday through Saturday at this downtown location from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. With online ordering, you can place your order and pick it up at the time you desire. Many cups of Joe are available for purchase at Purdy’s. An Americano is a favorite, while a flavored latte goes over well with many. Cappuccino, tea, lemonade, and hot chocolate can also be found on the menu.
Purdy’s has signature drinks as part of their Java lineup. If you like chai lattes, you may wish to try the Russian Sawmill. Do you prefer to have something sweet? Order the Vietnamese Coff, which contains espresso and sweetened condensed milk. Other drinks include the Cafe Miele, the Beekeeper Latte, and the Old Kentucky Latte.
2. Einstein Bros. Bagels
Located at Powell Building, 17, 217 Park Dr, Einstein Bros. Bagels sells much more than that. Open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, the restaurant offers wifi and catering. You can eat The Big Breakfast Burrito or a Texas Brisket Egg sandwich while sipping a hot drink. Lunch items include sandwiches made from bagels, such as Tasty Turkey or the Nova Lox.
Einstein brews come in many versions. Cold brew shakes come in caramel, vanilla, and chocolate. You may also order your Joe in an iced version. They feature a brew of the day, which is carefully curated. Other hot beverages include lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and tea. Any of these can be enjoyed with some sweets, such as the Chocolate Birthday Cake Party Bagel or the Greek Yogurt Cherry Pastry.
3. Bespoke Bakery and Café
Bespoke Bakery and Café is located at the mall in the Habitat For Humanity ReStore store. They want to have their customers kick back while drinking crafted beverages and having a sweet or two. Delivery and curbside pickup are available, and there is also seating located in the food court mall. A full Java Joe bar features both hot and cold drinks, along with blended beverages.
Located at 830 Eastern Bypass, this café is open from 8 AM to 6 PM Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturday. A bakery case full of delicious treats, such as apple pie cupcakes, a Razzle Dazzle-filled cupcake, cake pops, and cookies, is available daily. Rest assured that everything is made in small batches for the best and freshest taste.
