Fall is a great time of year. The leaves are changing colors. The temperatures are dropping, but you don’t need to pull out your fleece socks. There’s a lot to do in the Richmond, KY area. If you are not sure what to do, keep reading to discover our favorite fall activities within driving distance of the city.

1. Attending the Spotlight Fall Fair and Monster Mash

One great thing you can enjoy this fall is attending the Spotlight Fall Fair and Monster Mash at 214 Richmond Road. This festival is being held on October 28 starting at noon, and there will be several events throughout the day. Notably, there is trunk-or-treating from 4 to 6 PM and a costume contest at 5 PM. After the festival, we recommend sticking around for a show or two. At 6:30, you can catch the Monster Mash Cabaret Show.

2. Checking Out the Georgetown AutumnFest

We also recommend checking out the Georgetown AutumnFestan event that runs from September 9 through October 31Located at Bi-Water Farm at 877 Cincinnati Road, this fall farm festival features tons of fun. There is an Autumn Fest Express to help you move through the farm quickly. There is also an adventure park that includes a pumpkin cannon, sky-high slide, zip lines, and much more.

If you have a child who is interested in ball sports, you have to check out the Field of Dreams. In this section of the farm, you can find a football pass, basketball toss, and baseball throw. The pumpkin obstacle course is also really fun.

3. Hiking at Fort Boonesborough State Park

Hiking at Fort Boonesborough State Park at 4375 Boonesboro Rd. is another fun way to enjoy a beautiful fall day. The Pioneer Forage Trail is over a quarter of a mile long, and it connects the fort and campground. There are also several other trails that you can walk down.

We recommend visiting this state park during early fall. You can see historically accurate blockhouses, furnishings, and cabins. You will feel as if you stepped back in time if you tour the fort, and the demonstrations are worth a watch.

4. Touring White Hall Historic Site

Finally, we recommend touring White Hall Historic Site at 500 White Hall Shrine Road. Tours are available Wednesday through Sunday, and there are many special events.

There are lots of fun things to do in the fall in the Richmond area. However, they are inaccessible if you do not have reliable transportation. If your current ride is unreliable, a 2024 Toyota Camry may be a great fit. To take it for a spin, visit us today at Toyota South.
