Trim Levels (Exterior)
You can get the 2022 Toyota Sequoia in six trim levels: SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, Nightshade Special Edition, TRD Pro, and Platinum. The SR5 comes with 18-inch wheels, LED headlights and fog lights, heated side mirrors, and a sunroof. The TRD Sport trades the wheels for 20-inch TRD Sport wheels and adds a black exterior trim with roof rack and badges. On the Limited, you get 20-inch wheels and chrome exterior trim. The Nightshade Special Edition has a unique dark chrome and black exterior trim with black 20-inch wheels.
You get Rigid Industries LED fog lights, skid plates, fox shocks, black aluminum running boards, a Toyota-branded grille, a power liftgate, and 18-inch BBS wheels on the TRD Pro. The Platinum includes everything on the SR5 and Limited and adds adaptive air suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers for a smoother ride.
Engine (Power)
There's only one engine option for the 2022 Toyota Sequoia. You get a 5.7-liter i-FORCE V-8 DOHC 32-valve with dual-independent variable valve timing with intelligence engine. It's paired to a six-speed electronically-controlled automatic transmission with intelligence, sequential shift mode, and uphill/downhill shift logic.
You also get a Tow/Haul mode for when you're bringing the toys with you for the weekend. This combination delivers 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque to keep you at the head of the pack.
Performance
The Sequoia offers a variety of performance-enhancing features to improve the overall driving experience. The SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, and Nightshade Special Edition all come with standard rear-wheel drive, while the TRD Pro and Platinum have a standard four-wheel-drive system. You can swap out the rear-wheel for a four-wheel on the lower trims, giving you more control over treacherous road conditions.
The Star Safety System has traction control, vehicle stability control, and an anti-lock braking system to keep you and your passengers safe. You also get smart stop technology, electronic brake-force distribution, and brake assist.
Interior
When you slide into the 2022 Toyota Sequoia, you'll notice the attention to detail on the features designed for comfort and convenience. The SR5 has three-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry with push-button start, a Wi-Fi hot spot, an eight-speaker audio system, and a 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The TRD Sport swaps out the second-row bench seat for captain's chairs, reducing seating to seven. On the Limited, you get leather upholstery, heated front seats, navigation, and a 12-speaker sound system. The TRD Pro and Platinum up the system to a 14-speaker JBL audio system, and the Platinum adds a rear-seat entertainment system with a Blu-ray player.
