Special Editions
The SE trim of the 2021 Corolla sedan and Hatchback is available in a special Nightshade edition. Nightshade editions feature unique blacked-out features, including grille surround, rear diffusers, mirrors, door handles, rocker panels, and wheels. The sedan SE and XSE trims are also available in an Apex edition, featuring aggressive styling, a track-tuned chassis, and bronze accents. A 2021 Special Edition Corolla Hatchback includes a custom body kit and stylish Supersonic Red paint.
Power and Efficiency
2021 Corolla sedan lineup has three engines, including a 139 horsepower 1.8-liter I-4, a 169 horsepower 2.0-liter I-4, and a 121 horsepower 1.8 liter I-4. Combined fuel efficiency varies from 32 mpg to 34 mph across the lineup.
The Corolla Hatchback has a 2.0-liter Dynamic Force engine paired with a Dynamic-Shift continuously variable transmission. The Hatchback is also available with a six-speed intelligent manual transmission. Every Hatchback features an optimized suspension to reduce body roll and increase road feel. The Hatchback has an impressive EPA-rated fuel efficiency of 30 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.
The Corolla Hybrid is based on the Corolla sedan LE trim. With an EPA-rated fuel economy of 53 mpg in the city and 52 mpg on the highway, it’s no surprise that the Corolla Hybrid was named the “Green Car of the Year” by Green Car Journal in 2020. The Hybrid’s lithium-ion battery is covered by a 10-year or 150,000-mile warranty and is precisely positioned to enhance vehicle handling.
Infotainment Features
Every Toyota Corolla features an impressive infotainment package.
