1. Jackson’s Restaurant

Visit this locally-owned Richmond spot for delicious breakfast platters, including the pork tenderloin meal, country ham meal, omelets, French toast, corned beef hash, biscuits with gravy, and much more. Jackson’s Restaurant is known for its homestyle cooking and for its Big Hoss challenge, which awards customers with a free meal and a T-shirt if they finish a massive burger with two half-pound patties and a stack of toppings.

Jackson’s Restaurant is located at 203 S 3rd St. They’re open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

2. Purdy’s Coffee Café

We’ve been coming to this delightful Richmond breakfast destination since 2012. In addition to the iconic house blend of coffee, you’ll find breakfast options like fresh bagel sandwiches, cinnamon sweet rolls, baked oatmeal, country ham biscuits, quiche, muffins, and yogurt parfaits. You can also grab sandwiches and salads if you stop by during lunch hours. Pair your meal with your favorite beverage, from espresso lattes to tea and lemonade.

You can visit Purdy’s Coffee Cafe at two locations in town. The 212 W Main St shop is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The 444 Big Hill Ave shop is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

3. Winkler’s Stockyard Restaurant

This Richmond restaurant offers homestyle cooking for breakfast and lunch, with the added bonus of a warm, welcoming staff whether you decide to dine in or take your meal home. Although the menu is somewhat small, it covers all the breakfast bases with omelets, biscuit sandwiches, and breakfast platters with your choice of city ham or country ham. Lunch choices include a burger or the lunch bar selection of the day.

Winkler’s Stockyard Restaurant is located at 349 K St. It’s open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on the weekends.

4. Better Burgers & More

You can get breakfast all day at this Richmond restaurant staple, with generous platters like Big Tom’s Country Breakfast, which comes with two eggs, meat, potatoes, fried apples, and a biscuit with gravy. Better Burgers & More also serves a Huge Ultimate Hashbrowns, loaded with toppings, omelets, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, and fresh-made donuts.

Better Burgers & More is located at 952 Red House Rd. You can have breakfast there Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
