One of the most exciting times in the auto industry is happening right now, and here at Toyota South, we're staying on top of all the latest news and developments coming out of the New York Auto Show, which runs April 6-15. It's a place where automakers across the world gather to show off new concepts, production models and new technological innovations, and Toyota is no different.
In the weeks leading up to the big event in NYC, Toyota teased us all with an image of a sporty sedan it planned to reveal. Only showing the back end, we saw more sinuous and angular lines like those found on luxury vehicles, with a wide, low stance. Speculation was rampant in auto circles, and among Toyota enthusiasts here in Richmond and Lexington, trying to determine what might be in store from the Japanese automaker. Was it a new concept, or a next-generation production model? On April 5, the company's scheduled release date of this new vehicle, we were officially able to find out.
The next-generation Toyota Avalon wheeled up on to the showroom floor to reveal itself as this mystery car from a few weeks back. With its sleek new styling, including a new A-pillar on the back and front grille, Toyota looks to attract a wider audience to the Avalon, produced right here in nearby Georgetown, Kentucky. While not many other details have been released, we expect them to be in the coming days as the New York Auto Show rolls on.
In the meantime, stop by Toyota South, located at 961 Four Mile Rd Richmond, Kentucky 40475 to learn more about the exciting line of new Toyota models. We're more than happy to discuss and compare different models and their specifications, as well as arrange a test drive.
